ROEDIGER and AIRVAC products
In the ROEDIGER® and AIRVAC® vacuum sewer systems domestic wastewater flows through a conventional gravity sewer line into the collection chamber/ valve pit which contains the vacuum valve. On reaching a pre-determined level, the ROEDIGER® or AIRVAC® valve automatically opens; approximately 10 gallons (38 liter) of wastewater is evacuated into the vacuum sewer pipe. No power supply is required at the collection chamber/ valve pit as the evacuation process is entirely pneumatic.
Via the vacuum pipe network, which is laid in a saw tooth profile, the wastewater is then gradually transported to the vacuum station. There, the wastewater is collected and then pumped to a treatment plant or to an existing sewer.
